I'm 25, and an Ofsted registered male nanny with five years of full-time childcare experience.
I started working in the childcare industry as an outdoor education instructor. I've spent hundreds of hours inspiring children through nature and the world around us. I'm also a qualified archery instructor, swimming teacher, football coach and TEFL teacher.
Three years ago, I left the outdoor education centre and started working as a male nanny.
Why am I a male nanny?
Working as an outdoor education instructor I could see how well children developed in my care over a week. I understood my value as a role model and I thought I could have more of an impact in a household environment. I wanted to see how much of a difference I could make over months or years rather than just a couple of days.
It's been four years since I decided to work as a male nanny and I've had the privilege to work with a number of amazing families in several countries around the world. The children I look after understand that I hold high expectations for them. And in return, I provide them with an environment where they can feel safe, happy and challenged.
